Scientific name for Dandelion is Teraxacum officinale originated from Europe, used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese medicine. Dandelion Root and leaf have been praised for over 100 years ago. Many cultures around the world have used it as a centerpiece for tea, coffee, tonics, foods, and even wines and beers. Native Americans, too, considered Dandelion to be a prized herb. And they often used it in remedies and ceremonies.

For those willing to make the hike, it can even be found high up in the Himalayas, where it is gathered for Ayurvedic medicine.
