Recipes For Different Chocolate Body Care
Chocolate Body Polish This gentle exfoliating scrub will keep skin healthy look and soft. It smells great too!
½ cup Turbinado sugar*
¼ cup sweet almond oil
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Pour into a clean jar with a tight lid. To use, massage onto damp skin with your fingertips while in the shower. Rinse well with warm water.
*Turbinado sugar is raw cane sugar that still contains molasses. You can find it in the baking isle of most supermarkets.
Chocolate ~ Lavender Facial Mask
Milk and coffee contain natural acids that help to stimulate cell turnover, while lavender promotes healing and “calms” minor irritations. Note that this formula makes one application.
2 tablespoons coffee, finely ground
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 drops lavender essential oil
4 tablespoons whole milk
Combine all ingredients in a small bowl to make a thin paste. To use, spread over face and neck, but avoid the eye area. Lie down to rest for 20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Chocolate ~ Orange Lip Balm
11/2 teaspoons pure cocoa butter, grated
1/2 teaspoon coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon grated dark chocolate
1-2 drops sweet orange essential oil
Place all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave at 30-second intervals until the cocoa butter is completely melted. Stir to blend well. Pour into a small tin or lip balm tube and let cool completely before using.
Chocolate ~ Mint Massage Butter
Treat your loved one to a romantic massage with this fragrant body butter.
1 tablespoon grated beeswax, grated
¼ cup cocoa butter, grated
1 tablespoon dark chocolate, grated
2 tablespoons sweet almond oil
1 tablespoon sesame oil
4 drops spearmint or peppermint essential oil
Place all ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave at 30-second intervals until the beeswax, cocoa butter and chocolate are completely melted. Stir to blend well. Pour into a clean, glass jar. To use, rub a small amount of butter between your hands to help it soften before applying to clean skin.
