How To Make Elderberry And Rosehips Tonic Wine

During the 2018 Christmas holidays, I had a lot of guests from church, office, school, neighbourhood, and more in my home. It was first in history, I have never had that kind of visit and it was an amazing experience. I made sure, I provided lots of healthy meals and drinks  to an extent many didn't hide their feelings but ask if i have a professional chef, I told them I made all of them with the help of my kid sister.

Many people are embracing healthy lifestyle and you need to entertain your family and friends with health drinks like this Elderberry and rosehips  tonic .

It's made with whole ripe dried  elderberries and dried Rose hips. Rose hips are the fruit of the common dog rose, also known as Dogberry and Witches' Briar and Whole ripe elderberries, which have gone from green to reddish purple to almost black, have long been used to make pies, pastries, jams, jellies, wine, cordials and syrup. The dried berries are also added to tea blends.

While enjoy this healthy drink, you are also giving your immune system a boost with this rich-tasting, nutrient-packed tonic. Both elderberries and rosehips pack a load of vitamin C and antioxidant flavonoids, as well as minerals and dietary fiber. This simple infusion can be made in minutes and enjoyed as-is from the refrigerator or mixed into juice or tea, either in the morning or before retiring to bed at night.

It's very easy to make:
1 quart water
3 tablespoons dried elderberries
3 tablespoons dried rosehips
Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan. Add elderberries and rosehips; reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Strain; reserving the liquid in a clean container. Refrigerate and use within 7-10 days.
