Supplements are exactly what their name implies; supplementary. We should not be relying on getting most of our nutrients solely through supplements.
Here’s the thing, though.
Our food does not contain as many nutrients as it did many years ago.
So, supplementing our diet with fundamental vitamins and minerals we are lacking through our diet is okay.
When you start eating more whole foods, you will instantly start reaping the rewards.
Not only will you start feeling better as you will be fueling your body with nutrient dense foods, but you will also be preventing issues that may arise from a poor diet.
When you eat a whole food diet, you will get many of the vitamins and minerals that you would get from a multivitamin.
Lean beef, turkey, tuna, spinach all contain high amounts of Vitamin B. Fatty fish and egg yolk are good sources of Vitamin D.
You can get iron from beans, lentils and chickpeas. Leafy and coniferous greens are a good source of magnesium. And so on.
Just by eating more whole foods, you will be getting more of the vitamins and minerals that you may be currently supplementing with.
One thing you will probably notice at Chibtox Tea and Wellness Shop is that we do not offer any extracts. We primarily offer whole, powdered herbs in teas and coffee.
And there is a reason for that.
We strongly believe consuming the whole plant is much better than consuming only part of it.
You can go into any health store and find some herbs in pills. However, the herbs in raw in teas and coffee will generally be more pure and natural and of better quality. That also means it will be more effective.
Food heals and we can eat to prevent illnesses and other conditions. Let’s make a conscious decision to eat whole, clean foods.
Our bodies will thank us.
